This 1968 Topps Ed Kranepool #92 baseball card is a genuine piece of New York Mets history from one of the franchise’s most formative eras. Issued just one season before the Mets’ legendary 1969 World Series championship ,this vintage card captures Ed Kranepool, a lifelong Met and one of the longest-tenured players in team history, Edward Emil Kranepool (November 8, 1944-) spent his entire 18-year Major League Baseball career with the New York Mets (1962-1979) . He also holds a variety of franchise records, including having played more games in a Mets uniform (1,853) than any other player as well as the most seasons (18),  Kranepool was  also was the last of the original 1962 Mets to remain with the team, and the last of that team to retire from the big leagues.
